HEN Chair
Responsibilities
- Lead the engagement of on-going relationship with HEN programs with both program directors and students utilizing Chapter Leadership and Regent for support/presentation as needed
- Perform check-in meetings with each of the HEN Program Directors (at minimum quarterly)
- Organize, facilitate, and present an intro/Q&A session on ACHE/HLNY at all HEN schools on an annual basis covering the benefits of ACHE/HLNY membership
- Provide guidance and support on student focused HLNY programming, targeting 1-2 events annually
- Coordinate support to HEN’s health administration student clubs, events and orientation
- Conduct monthly HEN committee meetings
- Coordinate with marketing and memberships chairs to ensure ongoing, directed student communications
- Lead annual scholarship process, communications, and internship program (when applicable)
- Monitor and support fundraising activities for the HLNY Foundation to support sustainability of our scholarship program
- Participate in monthly Committee Chair calls and will be expected to report out on event strengths and weaknesses including information required for Regent’s report to ACHE on HEN outreach
- Provide active support to other committees and work in collaboration with other committee chairs
- Identify potential for HEN program growth and inclusion of new schools/programs
Qualifications
- Organizational, time management, and administrative skills
- Member in good standing with chapter for a least one year
Term of Office
- One (1) Year
Time Commitment
- Average 7‐10 hours per month
- Miss no more than 2 board of director’s meetings annually
- Highly encouraged to attend all events, with requested attendance at Cocktails with the Chief, Gala, Past President’s Boat Ride and Holiday Party, and other functions as necessary.
