President’s Welcome Letter

Meier, Stephanie 8x10I am honored to serve as your chapter President for HLNY in 2016.  My personal thanks and sincere appreciation goes to Jason Tenzer, our Immediate Past President and Michael Fosina, HLNY Regent for their leadership.  As we look back at all that we have achieved, we can say 2015 was a year of many successes.  In addition, congratulations are in order for the newly elected board and our new Regent, Sol Torres.  Please get to know them – it is this team that makes this organization the success that it is.  I’d also like to thank our sponsors for their support.  We are grateful that their contributions allow us to provide excellent programs and venues for our professional development.

My hope for the year is that you, as members, gain as much value from your membership as I do mine.  HLNY is committed to providing a variety of opportunities to interact with healthcare leaders in your community and we very much value greater involvement in the chapter.  There is no better time to expand your network, and involvement within the chapter is a great way to connect with other leaders.  Take advantage of volunteer opportunities by serving on one of our committees, which can help hone critical skills.  Please reach out to any of our committee chairs to learn more.  ACHE and HLNY are also here to help you advance, and we are planning a preparation course for spring for those seeking the FACHE credential.  Our programs committee planning is already underway for more excellent Face to Face Credit events along with our ever-popular Annual Diversity lecture and Annual Gala.

We welcome your thoughts, suggestions, and input on how to strengthen the chapter.  Please feel free to email me.  On behalf of the Board, thank you for making HLNY the special chapter that it is and thank you for all that you do as a leader working to improve health.  We look forward to another year of excellence.
