SUMMARY:The Future of Long-Term Care: Workforce\, Capacity\, and the Changing Continuum of Care
DESCRIPTION:Please note that this event has a TWO-STEP registration process.  After you purchase your ticket below\, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with instructions and the link to register on ACHE’s Learning Management System (LMS).  Once you register on ACHE’s LMS\, you will get a confirmation email denoting a successful “checkout”.  Registrants will not be able to access the virtual course in their MY ACHE account until 5-days prior to the event.  The link for the 8/19 event will come in a separate email from ACHE. \nAs hospitals across the country face challenges with discharge delays\, an aging population\, and increasing care complexity\, long-term care providers are playing a more critical role than ever in the healthcare continuum. This panel will explore how long-term care organizations are adapting to workforce shortages\, evolving reimbursement models\, and rising patient acuity while continuing to provide high-quality care. This event will allow our members to network and socialize with Past Presidents and other members as we sail aboard a private yacht in the New York Harbor\, taking in the sites and enjoying a Summer evening on the Spirit Of New York! \nAgenda: \n5:30 – 6:00pm – Boarding (Dockside)\n6:00 – 8:30pm – Cruise \nBoat will embark promptly at 6:00 PM; please plan to arrive between 5:00pm-5:30pm. \nAssorted hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will be served\nMusic will be provided by a DJ on deck 2 \nParking: Ample parking is available at Chelsea Piers. Cars enter Chelsea Piers from the West Side Highway at approximately 23rd Street. DESCRIPTION:HLNY is excited to share that the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) 2026 BT5K New York Breakthrough for Brain Tumors Run & Walk will take place on Sunday\, October 18\, 2026\, at Overpeck County Park in Ridgefield Park\, New Jersey. \nFor more than a decade\, this event has been held at Pier 84 in Manhattan. This year\, we will gather at a beautiful new venue just across the Hudson\, offering scenic views\, expansive green space\, convenient parking\, and ample room for participants\, volunteers\, families\, and supporters. \nNearly 1.1 million Americans are living with a brain tumor diagnosis\, and more than 800 new cases are diagnosed each day.
