Caribbean Heritage Month Spotlight: Ashley Clouden!
We asked Ashley, how has your Caribbean background impacted your career journey? And she stated:
“I often spent my summers visiting my grandparents on the small pristine island of Carriacou, Grenada W.I. Growing up in a close-knit island community where health and well-being are seen as collective responsibilities, I learned early that trust, empathy, and connection are at the heart of care – attributes I’ve grown to appreciate. These early lessons fuel a resilient and solution-oriented mindset in my leadership approach, allowing me to navigate complex, high-pressure healthcare environments like Electrophysiology with determination and creativity.
In my current role, I am committed to ensuring that cutting-edge technology and innovation are delivered with compassion, clarity, and cultural sensitivity – bridging the gap between complex cardiac care and the lived experiences of diverse patient populations. My early lessons instilled the importance of building trust not only with colleagues, but also with patients and their families, supporting healthcare delivery as a partnership rather than a transaction.”
