HLNY is excited to share that the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) 2026 BT5K New York Breakthrough for Brain Tumors Run & Walk will take place on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at Overpeck County Park in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey.
For more than a decade, this event has been held at Pier 84 in Manhattan. This year, we will gather at a beautiful new venue just across the Hudson, offering scenic views, expansive green space, convenient parking, and ample room for participants, volunteers, families, and supporters.
Nearly 1.1 million Americans are living with a brain tumor diagnosis, and more than 800 new cases are diagnosed each day. The BT5K brings together survivors, caregivers, families, friends, and advocates for a meaningful day of remembrance, celebration, community, and hope while raising critical funds for research and patient support.
Whether you live or work in New Jersey or are simply looking for a meaningful way to spend a fall Sunday morning, we encourage you to participate. Participation may also qualify as a FACHE Advancement volunteer activity for members who are submitting their application to take the Board of Governor’s Exam or looking to recertify their FACHE.
