In honor of Latino Heritage Month, Healthcare Leaders of New York (HLNY) is proud to spotlight Latino healthcare leaders who are strengthening communities, advancing health equity, and making a meaningful impact across our healthcare systems.

This week, we are honored to spotlight Rebecca Guerrero, Managing Director, Healthcare & DEI Chair at Tandym Group.

As the daughter of a Colombian immigrant, Rebecca’s cultural upbringing has profoundly shaped her worldview and leadership approach. She recognizes that effective leadership requires self-awareness, adaptability, and the ability to communicate across diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

Rebecca is also passionate about the future of healthcare and the importance of addressing systemic barriers that impact minority communities. As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into healthcare, she emphasizes the need to recognize and address implicit bias, eliminate inequities, and ensure that emerging technologies support equitable care for all.

Her perspective reminds us that inclusive leadership requires more than recognizing differences. It demands intentional action, courageous conversations, and a commitment to creating systems where everyone has an opportunity to thrive.

Thank you, Rebecca, for your commitment to inclusive leadership, advocating for equitable healthcare systems, and championing meaningful change. We celebrate your leadership and contributions during Latino Heritage Month and beyond!
