Congratulations, FACHE!

Becoming a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) has been a deeply meaningful milestone for me and a kind of validation I didn’t realize I needed. I entered healthcare from an engineering background, bringing with me expertise in systems thinking and human factors to help improve complex health systems. Yet for years, I quietly wondered if I would be accepted in healthcare leadership because I did not possess a traditional MHA. Earning the FACHE has helped quiet my doubts. To me, it represents not just competency, but commitment to lifelong learning, ethical leadership, and to a community of peers who share the same purpose: advancing healthcare leadership excellence to better serve our patients & communities. For anyone who’s taken an unconventional path, know that healthcare leadership thrives on diversity of background and perspective. Your unique experience isn’t a detour; it’s an asset our profession truly needs.
