Bruno hails from Cuenca, Ecuador. As an immigrant and a member of the Latinx LGBTQAI+ community, Bruno exemplifies bravery, resilience and perseverance, as he has overcome many challenges and difficulties in his professional and personal journey.  In alignment with this year’s Pride theme: Reflect. Empower and Unite, Bruno is a force that empowers and unites communities and policy makers to ignite meaningful policy change to protect the right to  social and health well-being of all LGBTQAI+ community members.  Bruno also unmasks the struggles that the Latinx LGBTQAI+ communities  face in terms of mental, physical health, social isolation, and broken family ties due to the cultural taboos and religious beliefs.

By serving as a committee chair and member in various healthcare organizations and local agencies DEI Initiatives, Bruno contributes to the fight for Equitable access to healthcare,  education and social services, and the hope that one day, we will witness a more inclusive and diverse community with equal opportunities and dreams for all.  Bruno is a true Inspiration and a phenomenal advocate and member of the LGBTQAI+ community.
