HLNY Recognizes Hispanic Heritage Month

HLNY recognizes Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 – October 15, a time to honor the diverse cultures, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.

We acknowledge our Latinx/Hispanic healthcare leader members and appreciate your collaboration, participation, and support. Let’s continue to uphold and celebrate the diverse workforce and address health disparities in our New York City community.

This month, we also highlight the National Association of Latino Healthcare Executives (NALHE). Many of our members are active participants in both HLNY and NALHE. We are honored to acknowledge your ongoing leadership and dedication to advancing equitable healthcare. As a valued part of our healthcare community, your commitment to diversity, inclusion, and excellence continues to inspire us. HLNY celebrates you this month and thanks you for your contributions and collaboration.

As we continue to honor Hispanic Heritage Month, HLNY is spotlighting reflections from our incredible members who are shaping the future of healthcare.

We asked: How can healthcare systems better integrate culturally competent care to address the unique health needs of Hispanic communities, particularly in terms of language barriers and access to preventive services?
