In recognition of National Minority Health Month (NHM), Healthcare Leaders of New York would like to spotlight Healthcare Leaders who are making an impact on the communities they serve. This year’s theme “Better Health Through Better Understanding” is focused on improving outcomes for racial and ethnic minority and AI/AN communities by providing them with culturally and linguistically competent health care services, information, and resources in order to empower them to create healthier outcomes for themselves and their communities. HLNY would like to kick of NHM and Black Maternal Health Week recognizing Dr. Kecia Gaither for her leadership, and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and women’s health.
